What is Hypnotherapy?
-
Hypnotherapy is a complementary technique that utilizes hypnosis to aid in the treatment of specific symptoms or health conditions. Hypnotherapy works by inducing a hypnotic state marked by waking awareness that allows people to experience detached external attention and to focus on inner experiences.

-
It is sometimes used as part of a treatment plan for phobias and other anxiety disorders. It is also sometimes used for pain management, weight loss, addictions, and a variety of other applications.

-
Formal explorations in the therapeutic uses for hypnosis began in the late 1700s but did not gain scientific credibility until much more recently. Modern researchers have further explored how hypnosis can be used, which conditions it can treat, and how effective it may be compared to other treatments.

What is Hypnosis?
-
Hypnosis is basically a guided talk that allows your conscious mind to go into a very relaxed state.
-
At the same time of your conscious mind going into a relaxed state, your subconscious mind will go into a very heightened state of focus
-
Which means that you are fully aware of what is going on around you including sound, smell and touch
-
This heightened state of focus makes it easier to access your subconscious mind to access all of your old memories, thoughts and beliefs
-
Which allows us to discover and resolve the root cause of any of your issues
-
Furthermore, whatever you think your issue is, there will normally be an underlying cause for this
-
You will be awake throughout the session
-
You will always be in control and can pause the session whenever you like
-
We will only discuss things that you are comfortable with
-
The session will take place on a Zoom call (unless a face to face session is specified)
-
If it is a face to face session, I may lightly touch you on places like your hand, arm or forehead to ensure you are in a deep relaxed state
